Todd Nuckols brings a wealth of experience to the Stepping Up for Seniors board. As one of the Aventa Senior Care Founders, a successful home care agency,  Todd’s vision for the organization has set the tone for the Stepping Up for Seniors by defining the purpose of care to the in-need senior community. Todd’s 17+ years experience as a Scottsdale Firefighter and EMT has provided him with first hand experience of the need for senior care. Shortly after a mission trip to Haiti where he was introduced to a group of seniors that touched his heart, Todd was inspired to launch Stepping Up For Seniors.  His steadfast commitment to the senior community is reflected in the enthusiasm that he has for Stepping Up for Seniors. Todd serves as a City of Scottsdale Firefighter EMT and is a volunteer with Stepping Up Stones of Hope, Chances For Children Mission Project, Bible Studies Leader at Highlands Church, Habitat For Humanity, Feed My Starving Children, Operation Christmas Child, Fishing For A Cure, and Angel Tree Christmas Gifts For Families-Vista del Camino Community Services.

Stepping Up For Seniors Co-Founder and Board President

Roberta Ezratty brings a rich career in serving others to her role on the board of Stepping Up for Seniors. She is currently a State Health Insurance (S.H.I.P.) Assistance Benefits Counselor and Presenter, providing individual Medicare/Medicaid counseling services at the City of Surprise Resource Center, Banner Olive Branch Senior Center and the Peoria Community Center. Ms. Ezratty facilitates group presentations for Medicare/Medicaid to seniors in healthcare environments and acts as a facilitator for Senior Medicare Fraud Patrol for the Area Agency on Aging. She assists with determining eligibility and need for applicants requesting assistance from Stepping Up for Seniors.

C. Dennis Nuckols comes from an extensive corporate executive human resource management background where he effectively worked with all levels of management.  His 40 years of corporate experience included working in a variety of industries including media, software development, conference and convention support, and commercial insurance.  Since retirement, Dennis founded a Human Resource Consulting company which provides human resource services and training for small and midsize companies in a diverse group of industries.   Dennis’ contribution to the Stepping Up For Seniors board is enhanced by his having lived within the Phoenix area for many years as well as being involved with an assortment of faith based and community organizations.   For many years, Dennis was involved with the Society of Human Resources. He currently is involved as a volunteer with several ministries at Scottsdale Bible Church.

Shannon Gallop shares a passion for serving the least fortunate in our community and is committed to use her skills and experience to transform the lives of senior citizens. Shannon’s background includes First Western Trust Wealth Advisor and 14 years of experience in the financial industry. Shannon's awards include TD Ameritrade President’s Award and the Vanguard SPOT Awards. Ms. Gallop is also featured in Enlightened Investor Magazine.

Jeff Giedt is one of the founders of Aventa Senior Care, a successful Scottsdale based home care agency. Jeff is passionate in his pursuit of high standards of home care for seniors. Jeff’s career includes over 15 years of both executive marketing and management experience at IBM and at Pioneer Packaging. His expertise with strategic business planning, IT resources, and business operations are an asset to Stepping Up For Seniors.  As a co-founder of Stepping Up For Seniors, his contributions are plentiful.

Jolene joins Stepping Up for Seniors with a history of service to the nonprofit and for-profit communities. Jolene’s accomplishments include generating corporate, foundation and individual support while serving as the Director of Development with several health, social service and youth organizations throughout the valley. Prior to her work with Stepping Up for Seniors, Ms. LeFlore was the Director of Development at Circle the City, an organization committed to providing health care for the homeless. Jolene’s background includes Fund Relationship Consultant with Education 2020 and Marketing Consultant with Progressive Learning. Ms. LeFlore received several awards and was named the After School Ambassador by the Afterschool Alliance located in  Washington, DC. Jolene holds a BA in Marketing/Communication from Michigan State University and graduate studies with University of London in international marketing and communications.

Tiana Zang is founder and operator of Sage Hospice and Sage Palliative Care. Tiana has been working in hospice for 12 years and launched Sage in March of 2013. Tiana has been a steady and loyal board member, volunteer, and contributor to Stepping Up for Seniors for 4 years. Her dedicated passion for serving seniors is unwavering. Ms. Zang helps Stepping Up For Seniors reach many community resources as well as recipients through her professional contacts. Tiana has a vision to see Stepping Up for Seniors grow in order to serve more of the underserved and underfunded senior population.
